Although the city is best known for its movie stars and beaches, Los Angeles has a lot to offer art enthusiasts. There are several major fine art museums in and around Los Angeles whose exhibits cover a range of eras in art history. Some of them are surrounded by their own peaceful gardens.
Among the major area fine art museums in LA County are the Los Angeles Canton Museum of Fine art and the Getty Eye. There are besides the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Huntington Gallery.
